英译学术论文摘要【二十五】

按:二十余年来,业余翻译或校对哲学、社会科学等人文学术期刊和师友论文摘要,至今已经译校不少篇什。它们或长或短,或深奥艰涩,或浅显易懂,却都是经过一番努力,数度推敲,几经润色定稿的。不过,最初几年的译校系手写,故均已散佚。1996年换笔改用电脑后虽然数次更换机器,多次重装或升级系统,其中偶然也有丢失,但绝大多数仍保存于硬盘。今特选择自认为比较忠实原文者,分批转帖,名之为《英译学术论文摘要》,以期方家哂正。下面是其二十五。——啮书轩主人启。

I.      Turn of the Paradigm in Researching Cultural History of the New Society and Modern Chinese Literary History

新社会文化史与现代中国文学史研究范式转向

 

Cultural history of the New Society emphasizes a sort of “profound description” of the structure of history, pushing individuals onto the center of the stage of history. It advocates that the “images” of man formed in society be studied from the perspective of culture in a bottom-up way, that the practical history in which these images have been endowed with meanings be traced back, and that, with this, the cultural codes to re-interpret history be sought after. And consequently, this view of history has affected and given rise to the turn of the paradigm of the research perspective of modern Chinese literary history, and the mode of scientific discourse and of representation.

II.      My Humble Opinion on the "Fusion" of Chinese Literary Theories,

Ancient and Modern

中国文论古今“会通”刍议

        The study on ancient Chinese literary theories is neither to be confined to the explanation of their original meaning, nor to the mere pursuit of their "modern transformation". However, it must start with a subjective consciousness of the self-conscientious Chinese culture and literary theories, and must highlight and carry on a study in a comprehensive way, namely a dialogue-fusion-construction way, by following the law of academic development. That is to say, it must bring about a fusion of Chinese literary theories, and an evolutionary construction, ancient and modern. And the issues involved in this fusion includes 1, To insist on the national stance so as to put all the literary theories together, ancient and modern, and Chinese or Western; 2. To carry forward Cultural assimilation tradition; and 3.To pursue the fusion of arts and science, ancient and modern; and so on and so forth.

一、新社会文化史与现代中国文学史研究范式转向

 

    新社会文化史强调对历史结构的“深描”,将个人推到了历史舞台的中央,主张在“自下而上”的过程中从文化意义上研究人类在社会中形成的“形象”,发掘这些象征被赋予意义的实践的历史,以此寻找重新解释历史的文化语码。这种史学观影响并造成了现代中国文学史研究视角、学科话语和描述方式的范式转向。

 

二、中国文文论古今“会通”刍议

 

中国古代文论的研究,既不能局限于对其本义的阐释,也不能一味追求“现代转换”,而必须从自觉的中国文化和文论主体意识出发,遵循学术发展规律,加强古今会通式的研究,即对话—交融—建构式的研究。通过对话实现中国文论的古今融会贯通和沿革性建构。中国文论古今会通所涉及的问题具体包括:坚持民族文化立场,致力于古今、中西融会;接续文统的传承,实现文脉的古今贯通;发扬文化同化传统,寻求文理的古今会合变通。
