战云暂敛残春在

重炮清歌两寂然

我亦无诗送归棹

但从心底祝平安

Written after the 1932.01.28 battle

War clouds clear in a dwindling spring

Heavy gun fires and spirited songs in silence sing

I have no poem for our soldiers coming home

From the depth of my heart I wish them ever safe at home
