沐芳莫弹冠,浴兰莫振衣。
处世忌太洁,至人贵藏晖。
沧浪有钓叟,吾与尔同归。

Do not dust your hat nor shake your clothes
Shortly after you've been in perfume steeped.
The world shuns those who're "too clean to be
true";
Ay, he that hides his sheen is wise indeed.
Well doth th' fisher at Canglang live with th'
stream,
Be it muddy or clean, I'd retire with thee.
