The Warm Tune
宁馨儿/诗 by Petite (Ning Hsin-erh)
------------------------------
Roaming in the uninhabit’d hills
basking in the gorgeous wintry sun,
still as evergreen, silent, I gazed far
at zigzag trails,waiting for revoir.
------------------------------
Withered grass and leaves so thin and sparse,
spred the gentle, rippling slopes,
supple, soft and coolish, pleasing
to the eye, a mantle of budding feelings.
------------------------------
Lush pines strewed the desolate woods,
with the sparrows chatter, flutter,
dart and dance above the skies.
brilliant were the sun rays;
blazing ears and temples,
blushing faces and cheeks
adding light to eyes surprised.
--------------------------------
Light twigs clustered with fruits wild,
naked,quiv’ring in breeze mild,
fresh and sour, sweet and scented,
crammed with glamors ripe and loud;
much too laden, boughs so tender,
tempting seek and search in bewilderment.
----------------------------
Hark! Who burst out singing,
brought the vale serene resounding,
higher and higher it rose,
slowly, slowly then descending,
casting quiet long reflections
onto rippling hearts projected,
crystallized, and made enduring in mind.
