Ye gods of loue, that pitie louers payne,             你们，众爱神，可怜恋人的烦闷，

(if any gods the paine of louers pitie:)              (若有任何怜惜恋人忧苦的神)，

Looke from aboue, where you in ioyes remaine,         高居九霄之上，乐陶陶，喜欣欣，

And bowe your eares vnto my doleful dittie.           看看下界，听听我的凄婉之音，

And Pan thou shepheards God, that once didst loue,    潘，牧羊人的神，昔日你也亲身

Pitie the paines, that thou thy selfe didst proue.    经过、爱过。那份痛苦也曾牵心。
