一到亭亭如盖的荷塘
便觉暑意顿消。那些如水银一般晃动的
究竟是水还是露呢
我不停地问过夕阳，又追问月光
翠鸟飞临斜逸的苇梗
小鱼儿们急忙游走
落照与蜻蜓终于把第一个花骨朵儿打开
如地涌金莲，此时月下蛙声四起
Flowering Lotuses in the Pond

Whenever I get to the pond teeming
with lotus,
I feel relieved of summer heat.
What really are those that roll like quicksilver,
Are they waterdrops or the dews?
I keep asking the setting sun, and, expectedly, the
moon.
Kingfishers fly down to the idle
slanting reeds,
Groups of little fish scurry away,
Finally the setting sun rays and the dragonflies have opened up the
first flower...
What a reappearing scene of Gold Lotuses at Buddha's
lecture!
Now the frogs are croaking away under the
moon...
