springtide
by li jin-fa
ah, frail and hasty spring
before all of your charm is shown
I’ve become servile to you
’cause your freshness has numbed my limbs
on the uneasy hills
the winter’s trace is barely seen
what he said in tearful farewell bidding
is more than i can bear to tell you
he left a lot of disorder twigs
and tender drowsy grass to you
but kept in secret my further expectations
i believe you will tend to my growth
so i wander in bare feet
for the woods and rills would keep an eye on my trail
from < songs for our happiness> 1926
Timide[1]
