Unlike
Buddha who can sit on the lotus
I am a man born of woman
My life is just a particle of the rolling dust
I welcome all that is in the human world
Like joys, sorrows, etc
I'd bear any burden as I'm supposed to
Though I am clear one day
All delight and despair will be gone
Yet I must try hard to trace
And collect those entangled, but beautiful
Memories that worth living once for her
Translator's Note:
In Buddhism, "dust" or "red dust" refers to sensation, knowledge, fame and power, e.g. anything illusory to inhibit enlightenment or the ultimate truth.
