飞观百余尺，
临牖御棂轩。
远望周千里，
朝夕见平原。
烈士多悲心，
小人偷自闲。
国雠亮不塞，
甘心思丧元。
拊剑西南望，
思欲赴太山。
弦急悲声发，
聆我慷慨言。

The watch tower’s two score feet high；
’Gainst the rail I gaze, gaze again.
Gazing hundreds of miles around,
From dawn to dusk, I see the plain.
A hero has a yearning heart;
A ruffian lives an idle life.
Our national foes are still there;
I’m willing to die in the strife.
Stroking my sword, I gaze southwest;
I would run to the battleground.
Hark to me, to my daring word;
From the strings springs a pensive sound.
