Reminiscence

新年等在窗外，一缕香，
New Year’s waiting by the window, a balmy air above

枝上刚放出一半朵紅。
Half a bud of red shoots out from a twig

心在转，你曾說过的

My heart is turning, and the few words 

几句話，白鸽似的盘旋。
You  said are hovering like a dove. 

我不曾忘，也不能忘

I have not forgotten, nor can I,
那天的天澄清的透蓝，

The sky that day was transparently blue
太阳帶点暖，斜照在

The sun with some warmth cast a slanting light
每棵树梢头，像凤凰。

To every treetop, like a phoenix that would fly. 

是你在笑，仰脸望，

You were laughing, Looking up, upright
多少勇敢话，那天，你我
So many daring words, that day, you and I

全说了，——像张风筝

Said, -- like a sheet of kite
向蓝穹，凭一线力量。

Flew to the blue sky, on a string of might.
