我不能再盯着看他的名字,我有点控制不住了,但是我还是害怕去约他。
b) He is a little bit punchy.
如果一个人晚上睡眠不足,早晨起来睡眼惺忪的样子,我们可以说他punchy。所以可以接着说:He needs a cup of
coffee to wake up.
他得喝杯咖啡提提神。punchy就是一个人看上去云里雾里的样子,与喝醉酒貌差不多。

105. Thank you for .....(the tea, cake, movie), and everything else. 谢谢你的(茶水、糕点、电影),以及一切。当你向人道谢时,你一下只想起了一、两件具体的事,但又接受了不止一项的好处,就加上一句 and everything else,这样就不会漏谢什么了。
106. Everyone else does it. 大家都这么做呀!(给自己找借口下台的说辞)或者说:But all the other people are doing it. Well, everyone does it that way.这话又可以说成:If everyone else does it, it must be OK. 如果人人都这么干的话,那肯定是没有问题啦。Try to do things the same way everyone else does them. 你得照大家做的方式去做。也就是When you are in Rome, do as Romans do.
107. You look concerned. What's on your mind 你看上去有点心思沉沉,在担心什么呢?“心情沉重”也可以说,a heavy heart。With a heavy heart, I want to tell you that your father just passed away. 我带着沉重的心情告诉你,你父亲刚刚过世。但记得不能说You look heavy. look heavy的意思是“看起来有点胖”,这是大家,特别是女人不喜欢听的话。

a) 死机。Computer downtime can result from numerous
circumstances such as viruses and so on. 导致电脑死机的原因很多,比如病毒,等等。
b) 中间的休息时间,休闲。休闲按摩:downtime message. a downtime
bar, 休闲酒吧。
109. I know he has the blues, but it doesn't mean
he can vent his anger on me. 我知道他心情不好,但他也不能把气发在我身上呀。the blues
心情不好,If a girl is sad, an ice-cream cone can normally chase the
blues away. 如果女孩心情不好的话,给她一个冰淇淋,她就会转哭为笑了。也可说,An ice-cream cone can
normally help shake off the blues. shake off 与chase
away是一个意思,都是“赶走”之意。
